A timeshare apartment in Portugal is double-booked, inadvertently by holiday rep Commander "Chitto" Chittenden. When Mary and Henry arrive shortly after Eve and Leslie, Chitto does not realise there is more than one couple! Each couple mistakes the other for the hired in help. The situation gets more complicated when Henry's mother-in-law, his friend and then his wife also all turn up!
