Fraire Armstrong

Fraire started performing from a young age. She attended Margarette Waites School of Dance from being just two years old - through this her first appearance on stage was starring as a windmill in the Teletubbies when she was 'a tot' dancer in Whitley Bay Pantomime's 'Sleeping Beauty' in 1996. Fraire then followed on as a snow child for Tynemouth Operatic Society's 'Carousel'. Further shows with Tynemouth Operatics included, The Wizard of Oz, Barnum, Fiddler on the Roof and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers acting along side her mother Mel Armstrong.

Fraire carried on to perform in several pantomimes and dance shows with the Margerette Waites School of Dance. and then moved on to Stages School of Dance where she carried on her dance qualifications.

Fraire began straight acting with the Priory Theatre where she appeared in 'An Ideal Husband' and 'When the Lights Go Out'. She also performed in many of the Priory's pantomimes her favourites being a "tea cup" in Beauty and the Beast and the front end of Daisy the cow in Jack and the Beanstalk!!

Also a member of Whitley Bay Operatic Society, Fraire's past shows include Hello Dolly, Brigadoon, Singin' in the Rain, Little Shop of Horrors and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers when she played Alice opposite her boyfriend Oliver Swinton who took the part of Gideon.

Fraire has helped on and off the stage for Whitley Bay Theatre Company, her first appearance was in Blood Brothers where she played one of the Johnston kids, she also took part in both performances of Fawlty Towers which she really enjoyed!

Currently in her second year at Newcastle College, Fraire is studying advanced performing arts and is planning to take a year out before going off to University. During this time she will be working in Greece and working for 'Camp America'.

Fraire is so excited to be taking the part of Felicity Rumpers in 'Habeas Corpus' and can't wait to adopt the 'Twiggy' look!
