Whitley Bay Theatre Company are looking forward to their forthcoming production 'Murdered to Death' by Peter Gordon, a hilarious spoof of Agatha Christie style 'whodunnits'. The play is set in a country house in the 1930's, where the guests are arriving for dinner. Someone gets murdered - but why? The house is full of suspicious characters, including Bunting the faithless butler, Dorothy the disgruntled spinster niece of the lady of the manor, Colonel Charles Craddock with prerequisite stiff upper lip, his pretentious wife Margaret, Pierre a shady French art dealer and Elizabeth his glamorous accomplice.
The solving of the crime is left to the bumbling and inept Inspector Pratt, his side-kick the exasperated Constable Thompkins, and the local sleuth Miss Maple - who allegedly seems to attract murder wherever she goes! Will the murderer be unmasked before tragedy strikes again?
What happened to the Colonel's missing revolver? Who is leading a double life? What other secrets can be unearthed before the final curtain?
The twists and turns of the plot will keep you guessing, and the colourful characters will guarantee to have you laughing out loud!
'Murdered to Death' will be performed at Tynemouth Priory Theatre, 16th - 19th July, 7:30pm. Tickets £7, available via the box office on:
